Following the demise of Ole Blue (My original 1972 Reliant Regal Supervan III) I was left in wonderment what to do and indeed what car I could get to fill the gap that Ole Blue left behind. Within a week, help was at hand when Terry O’Keeffe read about Ole Blue and offered to donate his 1970 Reliant Regal Supervan III 21E.
I was delighted and could not thank Terry enough. Whilst being in much better condition than Ole Blue was when I had her, the vehicle still needs a certain amount of restoration before she is back on the road. The restoration this time around is also helped by some chap called “Elvis Payne” writing a book on “How to restore Reliant Regal” so hopefully I won’t make the same mistakes that I made last time.
